Antique Map Old World Brown Wall Tapestry

A thoughtful pick for an office: the Antique Map Old World Brown motif, woven in North Carolina, USA, sized for everyday walls.

Old world cartographers made map-making an art form. Here a fine work of art has been translated into textile form. It features the work of Henricus Hondius II, a Dutch engraver, cartographer, and publisher. Initially produced in 1630, this design displays portraits of Julius Caesar, Claudius Ptolemy, Jodocus Hondius, Henricus' father, and Gerardus Mercator. On the map, we also see the four elements of earth, fire, air, and water in all their glory. This wall tapestry is the perfect piece to bring a nostalgic feel to any office or den!
