This modern wall tapestry brings new life to The Hunt of the Unicorn series which originally consisted of seven pieces woven in wool, silk, and gilt. Originally woven in the Southern Netherlands between 1495 and 1505, it was concluded that they were commissioned by Anne of Brittany, to celebrate her marriage to Louis XII, King of France, on December 6, 1491. This was determined by the A and reversed E featured throughout the series which were interpreted as the first and the last letters of Anne's name. This brand new reproduction tapestry captures the original depth, beauty, and texture of the piece and makes a beautiful addition to any home.
